Most clients begin the counseling process with weekly sessions, then after a few weeks change to every other week, and then monthly as they begin to believe they have reached goals, improved coping skills, strengthened relationships, and reduced or eliminated unhealthy behaviors.
In your one-on-one sessions with John Gingles or Janie Landry, you will work collaboratively with your counselor to address the issues that initially caused you to seek help. Sometimes therapy will bring other concerns to light. We will help you gain an understanding of these issues, learn to challenge negative habits/behaviors, practice on remaining focused in the present moment, and support you in your efforts to become more self-aware.
Individual sessions are generally 60 minutes.
